28 year 10 students attended Port Lympne Wild Animal Park on Wednesday this week, where they took part in a 'habitat and adaptations' workshop to support their ecology topics in Biology. They all enjoyed the safari ride around the park viewing animals in environments that mimic their natural environment. This covered an area 3 times the size of London zoo. All students behaved impeccably and were a real credit to the school and their families. We hope they all enjoyed their time and gained some lovely memories.

**Year 8 Science Observatory Trip** On Tuesday 2nd July we took a group of year 8's to visit the Observatory Science Centre in Hailsham, East Sussex. This is the former home of the Royal Observatory Greenwich and is located here for the dark skies. The students enjoyed an activity park, a light workshop looking at the electromagnetic spectrum, a science show and time playing with the interactive science displays. The students also had a guided tour around two of the telescopes, one of which was used to map and photograph the moon to help NASA work out where to land the Apollo missions. Another telescope on the site discovered the first black hole. All the students were a credit to the The Robert Napier School on this trip.
