GCSE Results Day Success!
The Robert Napier School was proud to celebrate significantly improved results at GCSE today. Headteacher Andrew Minchin said "This amazing outcome is the culmination of the students’ sheer hard work and determination to succeed, supported by both staff and their parents. I am very proud of the staff’s dedication in enabling Gillingham students to realise their potential".
The School saw a 90% increase of grades 4 and above in English and Maths, which nearly doubled the previous year’s result. The results of the most able students were even better, with the school's grade 5 more than double that achieved in 2017.
Of the many students with outcomes to be very proud of there are a number of particular interest: Sangeeth Ragulan attained 100% of his GCSEs grade 9-5, including 4 grade 9s; Sol-Yin Law attained 100% of his GCSE grades 9-6, with 1 grade 9, an A*, 3 grade 8s and 2 Distinction*; Lacey Andrews, Stephanie Southgate and Sachin Saji all achieved 100% of their GCSEs at grades 9-5, including some of the highest grades (7, 8 & 9).
Huge congratulations go to these and indeed all of the students who have worked so hard, and contributed to a massively improved set of results for the school overall.
Well done everyone!
